Construction according to Tsunami-Relief

At the center of the large designed Tsunami relief was the reconstruction of 6200 houses in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, at the Andamanes and the Nicobares (in front of the Eastern coast of India) as well as Sri Lanka. In October 2008 all houses had been built and were delivered to the populition. The construction of the houses on Sri Lanka was finished at 2007.

The houses had been constructed according to governmental regulations.

The admiration of the former Indian President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, brought him to a visit of the houses reconstrucion project of the Tsunami relief in Tamil Nadu and to participate on a ceremonial hand-over of the keys.

In Kerala many houses were built along the backwaters and on islands, which were inaccessible for trucks. Voluntary aides from all over the world have brought the neccessary construction-materials from the supply-sites to the construction-sites.

In Tamil Nadu complete residential areas including electrical powersupply and sanitary canalization and streets have been set up, as well as kindergardens and other public institutions.
